NJAC continues to host the series of five (5) People’s Consultations on the critical issues surrounding the UFF Commission of Inquiry into UDECOTT and the Construction Industry. The first consultation took place on Tuesday 13 October 2009 at the Communication Workers’ Hall, Henry Street. Port of Spain.

NJAC has decided to repeat the Port-of-Spain consultation on Tuesday 20 October 2009. The dates and times of the next two consultations shall be held at the following dates, venues and times:

• Port of Spain on Tuesday 20 October 2009 at the Communication Workers’ Hall, Henry Street. POS.
• San Fernando on Wednesday 21 October 2009 at OWTU Paramount Building, Circular Road San Fernando

The consultations will start at 7.30 pm. In due course, the information regarding the consultations at Point Fortin, Tobago and Chaguanas will be released.

NJAC’s proposals are the following:

The immediate removal of the Board of UDeCOTT

• investigation of all possibilities for the immediate resumption of the present inquiry
• seizure of the passports of all Board members
• seizure of all documents relevant to the current inquiry
