About The NATIONAL ACTION CULTURAL COMMITTEE




The National Action Cultural Committee (NACC) is the cultural arm of the National Joint Action Committee. It was formally established in 1974. As one of the foremost institutions involved in developing and promoting the Arts in Trinidad & Tobago and the Caribbean, the NACC is primarily involved in placing the arts at the centre of national development.

At various times in its history, the calypso tent, as a concept, changed to become more relevant. The Generation Next Festival "Representing Our Culture, Showcasing Our Future" represents a new phase in the evolution of the traditional calypso tent.
