ABOUT THE CARIBBEAN HISTORICAL SOCIETY

The Caribbean Historical Society (CHS) was founded by the National Joint Action Committee in 1982. From its inception, the major objective of the CHS was to document and disseminate the History and Culture of the people of the Caribbean.
Over the past years, the CHS has achieved some measure of success in this regard. It has, among other things, published books such as The Life and Times of Tubal Uriah “Buzz” Butler; Gene Miles, A National Heroine; Joy Comes in the Morning (about the Spiritual Baptists) and the Story of Emancipation...
