Akhenaton Daaga


Akhenaton Daaga is currently the Servant Director of Communications. He is a former Servant Director of Youth Affairs of the National Joint Action Committee, and Servant President of the National Youth Action Committee (NYAC). Brother Akhenaton is also a foundation member of the Organisation of Tomorrow’s Leaders and a past Vice-President of that organization (1997 – 1998). He has also headed the National Organisation of Rededicated Students, NORS.
A graduate of Newtown Boys’ Primary School, Brother Akhenaton received his Secondary School Education at St. Mary’s College. While at that institution he represented the school in Athletics (Track) and Basketball. Akhenaton is, at present, studying at the University of the West Indies.
During his tenure, at NYAC and its affiliate organizations NORS and OTL, he would be part of a large body work related to youth development, particularly in the cultural field. Prominently, among those events would be the creation and/or evolution of national programmes such as the Top 20 Stars of Tomorrow Award Ceremony and “Emancipation to Republic” Youth Historical Rally.
Akhenaton Daaga , as a young man has a strong sense of commitment to ensuring that the voice of the people resounds at every level of decision making of the society. He has a powerful commitment to this organisation’s principles based on Consultation, Participation and Mobilisation.
